Sunrise
Simply Red
I'm really not sure why I like this track so much. Just discovered it a couple of weeks ago and can't get enough of it.
Run
Matt Nathinson with Sugarland
Yeah its a sicky sick ballad about love sweet love, but for some reason I like it. Something about the mixture of their voices on this track that is yummy!
When we were young
The Killers
Among my love for alternative music is the rockin beat of this Killers track!
The Bargain Store
Dolly Parton
Who doesn't love Dolly Parton?? I certainly do and I love this track although its quirky and odd!
My body is a cage
Peter Gabriel
So many layers in this that I love, not to mention that it's Peter Gabriel which I love anyway!
Black Chandelier
Biffy Clyro
Somethings odd and off with this track, but I love it that way. Something about it pulls at the deep dark things!
Lost on You
LP
She may not be much to look at, but the girls got pipes! Not sure why I like this so much, but I do!
Beautiful Boy
John Lennon
Boy these 18 years have gone by fast. We had our good times and bad times, but I sure have enjoyed watching my beautiful boy grow into a young man. So smart and funny with a great personality! The first born is always the guinea pig, so I'm glad my boy has lasted through it. All my love goes to my son on his 18th birthday!
I believe in you
Black Dub
Dedicating to my dear husband because I believe in him and us as a dynamic duo! I just love Trixie Whitley's vocals on this track. They are deep and luscious.
Dance my pain away (SYTYCD)
Wye Oak Remix
Sometimes all I want to do is put on my headphones and dance the pain away!
I put a spell on you....
Annie Lennox
Is there anything more decadent than Annie Lennox with her low and husky voice singing "I put a spell on you"?? I think not. Its like fine dark chocolate truffles with that smooth and silky texture. A veritable treat for the ears!
Lotta Love
Nicolette Larson
This song reminds me of the '70's when my dad would be riding around in an old Ford pickup and we would be heading to my Mamow's and Papow's to see family. The lyrics are sad and melancholy, but I remember the melody the most. That sax solo at the beginning is the best!
Another Brick in the Wall
The very first musical memory I have was "Another Brick in the Wall". The harmonies and the layering still gives me chills!
